The National Sports Day was celebrated at Malabar Training College, Peravoor, on 25th August 2025 under the auspices of the Sports Club. Although the National Sports Day is observed on 29th August every year, our college marked the occasion earlier with a variety of competitions to highlight the spirit of sportsmanship. The programme was inaugurated by our Principal, Indu K. Mathew, with a ceremonial kick-off in the Football Shootout competition. The inaugural session was followed by a lively Aerobics Dance performance by the students, which added colour and energy to the celebrations. The major competitions of the day included Football Shootout, Relay Competition, Hit the Wicket, and Squat Competition. In the Football Shootout, the winner was Fathimathul Hanna Beevi from the English option. The Relay Competition was won by the Natural Science option, while the English option secured the second prize. The Hit the Wicket competition had two first prize winners, Chandana N. K. and Gidha K. In the Squat Competition, the first prize went to Nishna, and the second prize was secured by Anaswara. The prize distribution was conducted by the Principal, who congratulated all the winners for their outstanding performances. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the General Captain, Abin T. Varghese, who appreciated the efforts of all participants and organizers in making the event a grand success. The celebration truly reflected the theme “Strength and Spirit 2025”, fostering teamwork, determination, and the joy of sportsmanship among the students.
